The Two Sides of Bielfield: Messiah & Dancing with Courtney Act

After last year’s Boom + Bust EP went boom, Kyle Bielfield has lined up a new single which pairs him with Courtney Act, especially for Mardi Gras. The double-act CD, Dance Again, is available through Sony now and we’re hoping to see Kyle and Courtney paired up on stage over the next few weeks.

But first he’s doing a total 180 and singing the lead tenor part in Handel’s Messiah in Sydney and Melbourne. Yep, he’s an amazing pop writer-performer and a trained and experienced opera singer and he thought the crossover switch would be a great chance to stretch himself here in Australia…

Kyle Bielfield has been confirmed as the Tenor with The Australian Brandenburg Orchestra’s first ever performance of Handel’s Messiah.

Handel was the greatest composer that ever lived. I would uncover my head, and kneel before his tomb.” That’s what Beethoven said about Handel, the great master of the baroque and composer of what must surely be the world’s most performed concert work, the oratorio, Messiah.

Kyle developed his pop alter ego Bielfield to overcome boundaries and preconceptions of what a Juilliard Graduate can do – Are you ready to be enchanted?
